"The EmeraldPlanet - The Haitian Ambassador"

Dr. Sam Hancock will host this show on the best practices and new areas of the "Green Movement" and ecology.  Tonight Dr Sam has some very special guests:

    The Hon. Mrs. Lola Poisson, Wife of Ambassador Joseph, Embassy of Haiti;
    Dr. Arthur B. Keys, President, International Relief & Development;  and
    Lindsay Mattison, Executive Director, INTERNATIONAL ACTION

It is with great humility that the Inside Scoop Team and specifically the "EmeraldPlanet" sequence gets to introduce four internationally recognized experts on Haiti and redevelopment efforts in at-risk nations.  The entire world is focused upon the plight of Haiti, its vibrant people, the current humanitarian crisis, and the next steps towards building a modern Haiti.  The United Nations, among other international organizations, have estimated 200,000 citizens considered lost, possibly 500,000 plus maimed or injured, and another one and one-half million plus displaced out of a 7.5 million population.  For a poor and impoverished country the scope and scale of the destruction and loss of life is beyond human comprehension. September 6, 2009 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM Eastern Time
"Ecology & the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (Stimulus Bill)"

The Obama Administration in a bipartisanship effort with the U.S. Congress passed the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (Stimulus Bill) to "jump start" the faltering economy.  In a move that has been praised by many to reduce America's dependency on imported energy and clean the environment $60 billion is available for 'green' projects.  Under the categories of Energy and Weatherization $30.4 million; $167.3 million;  $115.9 million; $529.8 million; $541.1 million; and $351.6 million is allocated for Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, New York, California, and Illinois respectively.

It is estimated that less that 10% of the funds have actually been used.  With $313.6 million allocated in the Washington, D.C. region alone to create over 90,000 jobs nationally what does the investments mean, how will 'green' jobs be created, how can you become involved, and what projects have long-term environmental impact.

Dr. Samuel Lee Hancock, Host of The EmeraldPlanet will interview three nationally recognized experts with a combined 80 years of professional experience in helping create the 'green' economy on this week's program.  Scott Sklar, President, The Stella Group, Michael S. Lee, Chief Technology Analysts, White Door Technologies, and Tino Baguio, Founder/COO of the Energy Management Services will share about where the money is being allocated, how you can become engaged in the 'green' economy, and what leading edge technologies are available today to reduce: energy consumption; businesses and private home owners power costs; and harmful greenhouse gas emissions.

This interesting and stimulating program will not only help you understand the dynamics of the emerging 'green' economy but also allow local, state, and national elected officials plot a path towards a more environmentally friendly, ecologically sound, and less costly future for all citizens of the United States and around the globe.  Tune in today Sunday, September 6th, 6:30 P.M. ET (5:30 P.M. CT, 4:30 p.m. MT, and 3:30 P.M. PT)

"EmeraldPlanet - Water - The Essence of Life"
Dr Sam Lee Hancock, the host of Inside Scoop EmeraldPlanet, will spend this one hour "live" show on "Water - The Essence of Life". The United Nations reports that more than 1.1 billion people lack access to safe drinking water and 2.6 billion people lack sanitary facilities.  Diseases caused by unsafe drinking water and inadequate sanitation remain the most serious public health threat around the globe.  Such inadequate resources are estimated to cause 80% of the sicknesses in developing countries and killing between two and five million people.  Such deaths occur among young children.  As reported by officials of the United States Department of Defense the lack of water and sanitation undermines the sustainability of local, regional, and national governments.  Such a basic need undermines the focus upon education, economic development, nutrition, environmental quality, and political stability. This is the first of three television programs focused upon these problems by experts engaged in "best practices" around the globe. The first group of experts will include:
Lin Mattison, Executive Director, INTERNATIONAL  ACTION
