It's over, folks
Deeds's favorability numbers downstate are incredible. 56% in SW, 63% in Southside, 72% in the Valley. The WashPo endorsement has given him the NoVA cred that any Dem requires to have a fighting chance, and his numbers in "real" VA are very very encouraging for the general.

I voted McAuliffe last week on electability criteria (working in DC means I voted absentee from Charlottesville). Having serious buyer's remorse. Congrats to Creigh and team for a well-run campaign.

And for what it's worth, the last ditch effort by McAuliffe and Moran to attack Deeds on guns shows that neither had the whole-state vision to win in November. Yes, gun control could pick up some votes in NoVA, but it drives away everyone in rural areas. Being vehemently anti-gun is not a winner on the Dem platform, nor is it an effective tactic in a common-sense gun control strategy.

And Wagner has opened up a huge lead on Signer
41-12, with Bowerbank still getting 6%, oddly.

hahahahah
I'm not buying that poll winning in Nova yea right . lmao

Mmmmm
I love the smell of denial in the late evening. Smells like....napalm.

He's at 38% in NoVA, it's only a plurality
Moran and McAuliffe, the two NoVA candidates, are a combined 55% in that region. Is that really so far-fetched?

Come on!
I'm a Deeds man an a volunteer. He is not going to win nova by any stretch of the imagination. I would not believe that poll. That is why I'm hitting door Monday.

u r discounting effect of WashPost editorials
not just the endorsement, but the followup piece on transportation

This is my world and welcome to it

I think that people are forgetting
That the Washington Post endorsement reminded people that this is a three-way race AND that it is the same guy who race for Attorney General and nearly won back when Virginia was still a red state!  The Washington Post endorsing Creigh over the other two, more "obvious" choices I think caught a lot of people's attention and especially when they mentioned that voters may not forget that Terry had discounted Virginia many times when he was on the national scene.

Earth to fungus:
He's losing NoVA by 17% to the combined Moran/McAuliffe vote. It's a 3 person race, he only needs a plurality

Every one needs to grow up....
and recognize that times change, opinions change and people change.

When our daughter was in third grade in Roanoke, VA, she came home crying one day because she was the only student in her class who voted for Bill Clinton in the class poll for President of the United States.  I am sure few people in Virginia at that time thought we would become a blue state.

In the last decade, the number of immigrants in Virginia has grown incredibly, a community that is more conscious of the value of your vote, often a community that voted in their native lands and considered the civic right as a responsibility and dire need.

That is what has helped change Virginia from being a sure shot red state into a very likely blue state.  So what McAuliffe reportedly did 10 years ago is not necessarily to be considered against him today, he is the first to recognize the potential of Virginia as a blue state going forward, and he contributed a lot the last few years in helping make the transition.  He has supported several Virginia democratic candidates all the way through their elections and I believe he is now best placed to lead the state out of the recession.

Do all the good you can
By all the means you can
In all the ways you can
In all the places you can
At all the times you can
To all the people you can
As long as ever you can
John Wesley

Are you serious?
In almost every speech touting his business background, Terry expects us to consider his experience from 30 years ago in evaluating why he is ready to be Governor. Hell, he regularly goes back to when he was 14 years old!

And now you suggest that what he did 10 years ago is not relevant? I just don't get it.

Now, I actually think his tenure as head of the DNC was okay, given all the circumstances in play at the time. Many of his detractors think it ws a disaster. But one way or another, it is relevant.

One last comment. It is the day before the election. The best thinbg we can all do at this point is to talk about the candidates we support -- negative attacks won't work any more at this point. the only rason I am responding to this is the title, suggesting that people need to grow up.

I wish Terry McAuliffe and Brian Moran the best of luck tomorrow, and reiterate that whoever wins this primary will have my 100% support in November.

Am I reading this right?
Jon Bower bank is at SIX percent despite DROPPING OUT?!

I mean it's not unheard of, Edwards received 10% of OK vote about a week after dropping out and 7% in WV 3 months after dropping out.

But seriously, Bowerbank has:
- 9% of Republicans
- 12% of Hispanics
- 10% of 30-45 vote
- 20% of the vote in Area Code 276

Jon Bowerbank is WINNING area code 276 over Signer and Wagner 20%-13%-12%!!

Yeah, I think it pretty much proves
that nobody outside of the blogs is paying much attention to the Lt. Governor race.
