| Way back in 1991, when Roanoke County Sheriff Gerald Holt and I first ran for our respective offices, one of the other Democratic candidates from our area who most impressed us was Pulaski dentist Carole Pratt, who ran a strong campaign for state senate that same year.
Well, at the young age of 57, Carole's now retired from dentistry and has just announced that she is running for the Virginia General Assembly's 6th HOD district seat, as explained in the Roanoke Times newspaper article available at this link:
I spoke briefly with Carole this past Wednesday evening prior to the Democratic gubernatorial debate at the Lyric Theater in Blacksburg. I can assure everyone that she is an intelligent, capable and well-spoken candidate who will make an excellent Delegate, and she's ready to run.
