BREAKING: Dave Nutter's Growing Nightmare

by: KathyinBlacksburg

Sat Apr 18, 2009 at 21:58:11 PM EDT

Del. Dave Nutter represents the 7th House District, including Radford City and portions of Montgomery and Pulaski Counties.  Hopefully he won't for much longer.  Life may get a whole lot worse for Dave very soon.

It's not that things have been all that great for him.  It's a real case of DWBD (driving while being Dave, or DWBR--driving while being Republican).  That means that while driving, or doing anything else with too much thinking time on their hands, Republicans just can't help themselves.  They spend their time thinking of new ways to obstruct Tim Kaine.  And they'll do it even when doing so makes no sense.

It wasn't always that way. But Morgan Griffith made him "stand in the corner," as some in Richmond like to joke.  Dave's support of the Warner budget got him in real trouble.  In the Virginia House, it's not cool to vote with a Dem, even if doing that would be the best thing for Virginia.

But there is more, much more... (For the news, follow me below the fold.)

KathyinBlacksburg :: BREAKING: Dave Nutter's Growing Nightmare
As Dan Sullivan wrote here at BC tonight, the Republicans, including Dave Nutter were hell-bent on throwing away $125 million.  That's $125,000,000.  Kinda makes one a little sick, huh!  So Dave is going to be feeling a bit rocky as he's DWBD.

And come to think of it, there's a great election campaign issue there (and lots more where that comes from).  Too bad he doesn't have any opposition.  But wait!  His nightmare is likely to grow a lot worse.

I have it on very good authority, as in from the potential candidate herself, that Dave's probably going to have opposition.  Peggy Frank came within 5% of matching Dave at the polls on her very first run for public office.  She did so well, in fact, that, when election results came in from across the state, folks in NOVA were heard to say, "Who is that Peggy Frank?"  They won't be asking that question again.

I'll be blogging much more about Peggy, who she is, and where she stands, when she makes the final decision.  I suspect you'll even want to help her out.  Look for an announcement before the the end of April.  But it sure looks like  we're going to have a contest.

Sweet dreams, Dave.  As for me, I'm gonna sleep a whole lot better tonight!  And I hope you, dear reader, will too. November is beginning to look one race better.
