Cuccinelli's Agenda

by: frankoanderson

Sun Oct 18, 2009 at 21:01:26 PM EDT

(This is front-paged because you have a right to know.  The original diarist, Frank, has received this mailing, ostensibly from "GOPUSA."  However, the bottom of the letter says it is authorized by Cuccinelli for Attorney General. And it tells clearly what Cuccinelli's agenda is. So much for feigned "moderation."   - promoted by KathyinBlacksburg)

I received a desperate email from the nationwide listserv, GOPUSA.  It was a plea for donations from the Cooch, explaining what issues he wants to focus on as Attorney General:
SUBJECT:  Stand Up For Traditional Family Values Before It's Too Late
frankoanderson :: Cuccinelli's Agenda

Dear Fellow Conservative,
Today Americans struggle to agree on issues like health care reform, the treatment of terrorists and immigration. However, this great nation was founded upon conservative values and those values continue to come under attack... and that's why I'm running for Attorney General.

I believe that life deserves protection at every stage of development, from conception to natural death, and that marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman. Liberal activists, however, have laid siege on our families and our nation's fundamental values.

It's time that we stand up to attacks on our culture from the Left and protect the American family. As Attorney General, I'll uphold the right to life and protect traditional marriage. But I need your support. Will you make an investment to preserve American families and support my campaign by following this link and making a contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250 or more?

In the Declaration of Independence our Founding Fathers affirm that all people are born equal with inalienable rights that include life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This clause protects the right to life at every stage of development, because without the right to life, all other rights are unavailable.

As Attorney General, I'll stand up for life and traditional American family values, but I need your support.

Families are the central unit of civilized society and our laws should support their vital role in our nation's growth and success. But I need your help to protect American families.

Yet for some reason, the debate continues, so we must stand together to prevent activists from trying to change these most fundamental rights and notions. Will you follow this link and make a contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250 or more to my campaign? Together we will win this fight for life and traditional marriage.

Thank you in advance for you support.

So that's the agenda:  abortion and gay marriage.  I don't know who scares me more, this guy or Bob McDonnell.

Right to life at every stage:
So is he for universal healthcare OR

is it code for no birth control

You are right, vabreeze
And the worst part of this is so many people do not believe he actually means that, or that he could do any damage.  the damage has already started thanks to him and others among the GOP in the GA.  Already some pharmacists are refusing to fill contraceptive Rxs.

And yet not enough people seem to care that Bob McDonnell doesn't even believe in the right to bedroom privacy (he disapproves of Griswold v Conn.)

Cuccinelli is worse
On the Crazy Meter, Cuccinelli is a 9.  McDonnell is about a 7.

Got that right, cvllelaw
There is a collection of some of his "greatest hits" on the FP right now.

Or how about this one...

At 3:07 in to this clip, Cuccinelli says, "I will not support collective bargaining for public employees or private employees in Virginia."

"Good" one. Thanks n/t

Ironic location
They picked the Stafford Airport for the dog and pony show.
The airport was promoted as a "business accelerator"..and over the past 20 years has cost Stafford County Tax payers
Millions..with little return.

Nothing against aviation, aviators etc..but the repeated message was "the airport will pay for itself"...yes it has via Stafford County citizen pocket books (and federal subsidies)

Yea, its a "local issue"...but thought it was one of those ironies..

Article is USA Today: (9/09)

Local paper: Free Lance Star:
Airport Waits to Take-off"
